Giving Tuesday: An Opportunity to Truly Make a Difference

As you may know, tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, a day communities come together to support area non-profits and the work we do to build stronger families and communities. Giving Tuesday has become a powerful movement that inspires people around the world to contribute to causes they care about. This global day of generosity encourages individuals, organizations, and communities to come together and make a difference. The impact of Giving Tuesday goes far beyond a single day; it creates lasting change by supporting nonprofits, strengthening communities, and fostering a culture of kindness.

For this Giving Tuesday, we would like to take an opportunity to share with you about All For Family, the important work we are doing, and what you can do to help support this work. At All For Family, we do not believe poverty should keep families apart, we fervently strive to keep families connected, and we help connect families with the resources they need to support successful reunification. All For Family provides both volunteer-based supervised family visits for children in foster care, as well as therapeutic visits. These visits are provided to our clients on a sliding fee scale, which helps an overwhelming majority of our clients receive their court ordered supervised family visits at no cost to them. This helps our clients put their limited funds toward what matters most - bringing their children back home.

All For Family is able to provide these services, along with Lifebook training classes for foster parents and reunification support for families, courtesy of donations from individuals such as yourself, sponsorships, community grants, fundraising efforts, and amazing volunteers. None of the work we do would be possible without your support.

At All For Family, we recognize how challenging this economy has been for so many. If you are able to make a monetary donation to All For Family, which we would sincerely appreciate, we are a 501c3 non-profit, so donations are tax exempt. All such monetary donations may be sent through our All For Family Missouri Non-Profit for Foster Children and Families (allforfamily.net) website via the "Donate Now" button, or they may be mailed to: All For Family, 2384 Starling Airport Rd, Arnold, MO 63010. Every dollar counts! Even donations of $25, $10, or $5 can go a long way toward sponsoring a family visit.

For anyone who finds they are unable to financially contribute, we would like to share other ways you help support All For Family and the needs of foster children and families:

• Sharing our posts can help raise more awareness for the work we do at All For Family.

• We are in need of some amazing volunteers to help with fundraising efforts, help us with newsletters and other organization support tasks.

• We are collecting gift basket and raffle items, and we would be grateful for donations of gift cards, craft items, quilts, hunting/fishing items, or other items you feel would work well for fundraiser baskets and raffles.

• We partner with several organizations in the area to help support family reunification efforts. Such efforts may include needs for beds, cribs, dressers, and other houseware items. If you are planning to get rid of items like this, please consider donating them to foster children in need if they are in good, clean, useable condition. While All For Family does not directly collect such donations, as we don't have a place to store them, we can help connect you with a family in need, or an organization who is searching for such items for families.

• Please consider donating gently used children's clothes and shoes to are foster closets.

• For Christmas, a lot of toys are donated for younger children, but items for our teen population are often overlooked. If your place of employment or church is wanting to sponsor children for Christmas, please consider donating items for youth to the Jefferson County Foster Children's Fund for their annual Christmas Party. Such items might include youth appropriate new board and card games, new make-up, new hair styling products, new sportswear/hoodies, and other youth relevant items.
