In reflecting upon this weekend being Daylight Savings Time, where we spring one hour forward, this draws me to reflecting upon the coming season itself. Spring is a time for change, for growth, and rebirth. It is when flowers and trees bud out in their most beautiful fashion, letting us know they are alive and well, and ready to have their best year yet. Even animals and birds rejoice by presenting us with the glorious sights and sounds of their offspring, just as blades of grass, once dormant, spring forth in their brightest green.
Just as nature embraces this change, so too does All For Family. We are preparing for our finest year yet, as we Spring forth in our efforts to serve as many foster children and families as possible in the months ahead. We have the space, and, with careful planning and fundraising efforts, we have the finances, and we most certainly have the referrals for families who need our help.
There is just one thing missing: You! We need you! We presently have several families on our waiting list who just need someone to sit with them while they have visits with their children. We need someone who can help us recruit college students and interns who need volunteer hours. We need someone who will talk to their friends, their family, and their co-workers to see if they can help volunteer. We need men & women who can commit to helping cover at least 2 hours a month, primarily on weeknights and weekends at either our Arnold or Hillsboro locations. We need someone who is dedicated to making a difference who will join our board. We need people who know how to help with fundraisers, and perhaps even with tech savvy type things we struggle with. We need someone who can help share our posts, and who shares in our vision to make a difference in the lives of hurting families in our community. We need someone from organizations, churches, and universities who will invite us to come speak to share our mission.
