As we roll into the new year of 2024, we would like to take this time to reflect on all that we have accomplished, thanks to your ongoing support, at All For Family in 2023.
This past year, courtesy of remaining training grant funds from Jefferson Foundation, All For Family placed two foster parent survival/training kits in each of the library branches in Jefferson County.
We also hosted a Lifebook Training Class, and, thanks to donations received, along with remaining grant funds, we provided kits to create required foster care Lifebooks to everyone who attended the training.
For supervised family visits, thanks to our amazing volunteers and therapists, we covered a total of 490.5 visit hours for families. An additional 90 visit hours were offered to our clients by All For Family, for which we had coverage, but these visits were canceled by clients or placement providers due to illness, car trouble, or other reasons.
All For Family covered over 230 visits for 39 clients this past year. Out of our 39 clients, we had at least 3 families who progressed to receiving enough unsupervised time that All For Family services were no longer needed.
None of our work would be possible if not for our monthly sponsors, grants from Jefferson Foundation, donations, our amazing Office Manager, Sandra Hendrix, our wonderful primary therapist, Karen Jones, our incredible volunteer visit supervisors, and our fabulous volunteer board members. We are very grateful for each and every one of you, and we know that our impact on our community is made possible because of you.
For 2024, All For Family would like to see at least a 25% increase in the number of clients served and visits provided. In order to make this possible, we would also like to see an increase by at least 25% in our number of active volunteers, bring more help on board for therapeutic visits, and see an increase in our number of monthly sponsors & donations.
What many may not realize about All For Family is that our lease rate for Exchange Church in Arnold is $500/month, our lease rate for Hillsboro United Methodist Church is $350/month, & then there is the cost of our liability insurance, marketing, office supplies, accounting, and minimal part-time salary for our Office Manager, along with a small salary for our Executive Director to assist with grant management, tax reporting, marketing, etc. Our mission is to provide free to low-cost supervised family visits for low income families, as we strongly feel that poverty should not play a role in keeping families apart. At least 90% of our clients met income guidelines this past year to qualify for free visits, and, for our clients who did not meet these guidelines, they were still able to access supervised family visits at a rate that was significantly less that they would have likely been asked to pay at other agencies. At All For Family, we recognize how tough this economy has been on our families, and we would rather see them put their money toward securing stable housing, counseling, drug treatment, securing employment, and other major necessities they will need to continue their efforts toward reunification.
Everything mentioned above was made possible for our clients because of your ongoing support. Together, we can all play a part in continuing to make a positive impact in the lives of children & families in our community. We sincerely hope you will join us as we embark into the new year of 2024, making a positive difference - one visit at a time.
Always remember, one person can make a difference! Let change begin with you!
