This time of year, I am always reminded of Vince Gill's "I Still Believe in You" song, especially the line "Everybody wants a little piece of my time". The Christmas Holiday season always seems very hectic with event after event to attend, family gatherings, and feeling a bit overwhelmed by everyone who needs help. Though it is a joyous time of year, and though I would very much love to help everyone I possibly can, and then some, trying to find the time to make it all happen can be very stressful, as I am sure many of you will agree.
Therefore, I would like to take a moment and say how very much I appreciate everyone who took time for me this season. I want to thank all of the businesses and individuals who took the time to hear about our non-profit, for your generosity, and for taking the time to gather donations for our upcoming online auction. I want to thank Laura from the Leader for emailing me, speaking with me on the phone, and for writing a beautiful story about our non-profit and all that we are trying to accomplish. I want to thank everyone on facebook who has been following our posts, liking them, and sharing them. I truly wish to thank my husband for being so patient, and for helping with our little one while I have busy putting everything together. Finally, I would like to thank everyone in advance who will participate in our online auction beginning tomorrow night at 8 pm (12/14) - noon Sunday, 12/16. With all of us working together, I feel we truly can make a difference in our community. Because of all of you, your time, and generosity, I am excited about what I feel will be an amazing first fundraiser for our non-profit.
